REAL MAGIC HAPPENED IN NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Great news for the Fashion World no wait, this isn't enough let me rephrase it: Great news for the whole World! Something wonderful happened to Jamie Brewer whose a great actress with Down Syndrome taking role in The American Horror Story television series. If you haven't watched the series I strongly suggest you to do so because it is totally amazing and I can assure you, you will not believe how talented Jamie is! I can hear you say "Cut to the chase woman, what happened?" Okay okay, just relax!

Jamie Brewer became the first woman with Down Syndrome to walk the red carpet at New York Fashion Week for designer Carrie Hammer! I found it both exciting, happy and sad at the same time. We are in the year 2015 and nobody has questioned why there hasn't been a down syndromed person on the runway. Being unique is happiness. Being unique is the world! Nobody is perfect and doesn't have to be.

What is "normal" anyway? Normal is boring. Normal is anything people approve of or like. Normal is anything popular and anything people are used to. Why are there rules and must-have features to become a model or an actress? Who sets up these rules and why? Have you ever thought why we loved the Addams Family so much? It's because they're everything but normal. Just like Morticia Addams has once said "Normal is just an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly..." Try to look at things from a different window, expand your horizon. Love and accept anyone and everyone for who they are.
