Rose garden by Alice Archer
March 16 2017
Alice is specialist in embroidery and hand-printed designs which dominated also her latest collection.
Her exquisite skills were drilled at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and later at Goldsmith College of Art. After her graduation, she continued to cultivate her skills at Dries Van Noten's atelier in Antwerp where she worked as embroidery designer.
AW17/18 collection is like a wearable art series. It's inspired by works of the Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, and his flower series. She used bold colours that were sparking on the contrasting materials. Even though her inspiration has Asian background, compared to her designer colleagues, she managed to preserve her own voice and create very light and airy collection.
